The Barone Pharmacy legacy began in 1967 at Spencer Street, Fairfield with Len and Charles Barone.
The two brothers continued to open other pharmacies in the local area with the aim to offer the community the best in health care and pharmaceuticals.
Len and Charles worked very long hours seven days a week in both the Fairfield and Cabramatta branches providing health advice and products to the many migrants who had recently arrived in Australia and populated these suburbs.
In 1989 after launching the largest pharmacy of its time, they were joined by a third partner, Michael Behan. Throughout their careers, Len and Charles trained many pharmacists who have now gone on to open their own successful businesses.
The Barone Brothers have always employed staff from diverse backgrounds as part of their policy - which has proved to be invaluable when helping customers who live in one of the most multicultural suburbs in New South Wales.
But the Barone’s involvement in the community doesn’t end there. Both Len and Charles have been involved in numerous community projects, holding many executive positions including; President of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, President of the Horsley Park Catholic Club and Chairman of the Horsley Park Catholic Parish Council. Today Charles is the Vice President of the South West Italo Australian Association which is an aged care facility.
Barone Pharmacy is honoured to have served the local community for the last 43 years with all their health care and pharmaceutical needs and is proud to have 3 successful branches in Fairfield, Chullora and Woodcroft.
